He brings a rare combination of academic rigor and real-world execution across complex financial environments.

He earned both his B.A. and M.A. in Business Administration from Yonsei University (Full Academic Scholarship for four years), and later completed a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) at Chung-Ang University.

He began his career at Samil PwC in Assurance and Transaction Services (TS/FAS), advising multinational and domestic corporations across audit, tax, and M&A-related financial advisory engagements.

He subsequently served at Kookmin Bank, a leading commercial bank in Korea, in Risk Management and the IFRS Task Force Team (revenue recognition lead during IFRS adoption), and at Daewoo Securities (now Mirae Asset Securities) in Investment Banking (M&A division) and Investment Review, covering ECM, DCM, structured finance submissions, and capital markets assessments.

His early career uniquely spans core divisions of Korea’s leading accounting firm, commercial bank, and securities firm.

He has worked across organizations of varying scale and complexity — from large listed corporate groups with revenues exceeding KRW 1 trillion, to mid-sized enterprises, PE-backed companies, and early-stage ventures — gaining firsthand insight into the structural differences and decision dynamics unique to each stage of growth.

He has served as CFO and Group CFO across various industries at listed corporate groups and PE-backed companies, where he led key financial and governance initiatives including.
